India reported 41,195 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, 7.4% higher than the previous day, according to the Union Health Ministry. The death toll climbed to over 4.29 lakh with 490 fresh fatalities.
The number of active cases declined to 3,87,987 and now consists 1.21% per cent of the total caseload, while 30,069 people recovered from the virus in the same period.
India also achieved its highest recovery rate at 97.45 per cent while the daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.94 per cent.
The govt also informed that 52.36 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive.
