India recorded 38,164 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry dashboard on Monday morning. With this, the country’s total caseload rose to over 3.11 crores.
As many as 499 fatalities were reported in the same period. The death toll now stands at 4,14,108 since the start of the pandemic.

With 38,660 fresh recoveries, the recovery rate now stands at 97.31 per cent.
The active cases witnessed a drop by 995 from Sunday’s figures and now stand at 421,665, constituting 1.36 per cent of the overall caseload.
Further, over 40.64 crore vaccine doses have been administered since the nationwide vaccination drive began earlier this year.
