Sledging is not going to worry Virat Kohli, feels former Australian cricketer Steve Waugh, as he gave his little piece of advice to the Australian side ahead of their 4-Test home series against India.

'Sledging is not going to worry Virat Kohli, it doesn't work against the great players and you're better off leaving those guys alone. I think any extra motivation will make them dig in more and get more runs.'

Pointing out how Steve Smith outclassed the Indian skipper with 3 hundreds during the Australia tour of India in 2016-17, Waugh said,  'this would be at the back of his mind and he would want to score more runs, and if he does India will have a great chance of winning.'
The Border Gavaskar Trophy begins on December 17.
