The US, the UK and Australia have warned people against travelling to Kabul airport due to a "very high threat of a terrorist attack".
The countries have also asked those gathered outside the airport to move to a safe location immediately.
A report in The Guardian said the UK has voiced growing concerns about the "high risk of a terrorist attack", particularly a suicide bombing by the Islamic State group.

"There’s an ongoing and very high threat of terrorist attack. Do not travel to Kabul Hamid Karzai International Airport. If you’re in the area of the airport, move to a safe location and await further advice," the advisory said as quoted by The Guardian.
Thousands of people are thronging Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport in desperation to flee Afghanistan since the Taliban takeover.
Nearly 90,000 Afghans and foreigners have fled Afghanistan via the US-led airlift since August 15.
The advisories by a number of nations come at a time when the Taliban have strengthened their control around the Kabul airport, the Pentagon has said.
