The Supreme Court on Friday observed that high courts should refrain from passing order that are impossible to implement in relation with the Covid-19 mamagement. The top court stayed the Allahabad High Court order in which it had said that the entire healthcare system in villages and small cities of the state was "Ram bharose" (at God's mercy).
The high court, in its order, had also said all nursing home beds in Uttar Pradesh must have oxygen facility within four months and every village must have two ambulances with ICU facility within a month.
Noting that the Covid-related cases have national and transnational ramifications, the Supreme Court said that high courts must pass orders that are implementable.
The top court said that the directions of the high court shall not be treated as directives but an advice to the UP government.
