If you're looking for a reason to not add kale or spinach in your food, here's one. Environmental Working Group's Dirty Dozen list for 2019 reveals the top 12 food items that contain the most amount of pesticide residue. According to the list, more than 90 percent of samples of strawberries, apples, cherries, spinach, nectarines and kale tested positive for residues of 2 or more pesticides, while a huge amount of kale contained residue from 18 pesticides. The annual report called 2019 Shopper's Guide To Pesticides in Produce stated that nearly 70% of the produce sold in the US comes with pesticide residue.
