Delhi and its adjoining areas woke up to heavy rains on Saturday morning leading to waterlogging in several parts and affecting traffic movement.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for the national capital, forecasting moderate to heavy showers.
The IMD bulletin had earlier said that Delhi would receive moderate to heavy rains at isolated places towards evening/night on September 11, however, heavy showers and thunderstorms arrived early morning itself.

Additionally, The Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in many areas of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
