Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will visit Hathras in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday to meet the family of the 19-year-old woman who was gang-raped and tortured. The girl’s death on Tuesday led to a nationwide outrage and calls for justice. The opposition launched an all-out attack on the government and demanded CM Yogi Adityanath's resignation. Meanwhile, Hathras DM P Lakshkar said borders of Hathras have been sealed and section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in the district. He denied having any information on Priyanka’s visit but he did inform that SIT will meet the victim’s family.
