Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg has no plans to attend the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) which will be held in Glasgow this November.

She cited the coronavirus pandemic for her absence at the summit, and urged world leaders to postpone the event.

She further said that the UK government, which is hosting the summit, should wait until global vaccination rates have risen so that everyone can take part in the summit at the same time.

COP26 is the next annual UN climate change conference and it will bring together world leaders with the aim of agreeing on a plan to tackle climate change.
