Govt may ask the telecom regulator to lower prices for the 5G airways , sources told The Mint. 

The reserve price for 5G spectrum has been set at ₹492 crore per MHz of spectrum as of now 

After the recent auction, with the 700 Mhz band going unsold in the auction the Govt is reconsidering the price point to make it more affordable for operators. The 700MHz band, can best support 5G rollout due to its high efficiency,
