The government on Monday said due to the prevailing Covid-19 situation in the country, domestic flight operations will be restricted to 80 per cent capacity. The Aviation Ministry in its statement also that the fare cap on domestic flights will continue until May 31. The ministry had implemented a cap on domestic airfare to protect flyers from surge pricing. On March 19, the central government had announced that all domestic airlines will have to limit their capacity to 80 per cent of the pre-Covid capacity because the number of air passengers has declined due to the restrictions.
