The Special Enquiry Team of the Mumbai Police, probing the allegations of extortion by NCB officers and others in the drugs on cruise case, have said that extortion did happen.
The special probe team said that KP Gosavi, the man whose selfie with Aryan Khan went viral, impersonated an NCB officer to extort money from Shah Rukh Khan’s manager Pooja Dadlani.

Shah Rukh Khan's manager Pooja Dadlani was asked to appear before the special enquiry team, but she skipped citing health reasons. She has been summoned again, so that her statement can be recorded.
The Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) witness in the cruise drugs case, Prabhakar Sail, had made the extortion allegation.

Mumbai police will also seek footage of CCTV cameras at the NCB’s Mumbai office, to examine the activity of Gosavi and Manish Bhanushali, the independent witnesses of the NCB in the drugs case, and Sam D’Souza.
The Mumbai police probe team has so far recorded the statement of more than 15 people in the extortion case.
