India's badminton coach Pullela Gopichand has lauded Kidambi Srikanth for winning a historic silver medal at BWF World Championships.

In a chat with PTI, Gopichand said that Srikanth's game got sharper as the tournament progresses, and gained confidence after beating Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia and Japan's Kento Momota in the year 2021.

However, Gopichand advised Srikanth to curb his errors to be more consistent going forward as big-ticket events such as Commonwealth Games and Asian Games are lined up in the year 2022.

Notably, Srikanth will be defending his men's singles title at the Commonwealth Games 2022.
