Farmers protesting against the Centre’s contentious agriculture laws attacked the vehicles of Chandigarh mayor Ravi Kant Sharma and BJP leader Sanjay Tandon on Saturday.

The BJP leaders were attending a function in Sector-48 when protesting farmers gathered around Tandon’s Range Rover and broke the windscreens. They also vandalised Ravi Kant Sharma’s official vehicle.

The incident occurred in the presence of police personnel who advised the BJP leaders and workers to leave the venue.

The cops have rounded up half a dozen farmers including singer Sarbans Parteek for the violence against the BJP leaders.
