The family of a 30-year-old Kerala woman, Soumya Santosh who lost her life in a deadly Palestinian rocket attack in Israel, is yet to recover from shock. Her husband, a resident of Kerala’s Idukki district, is struggling to console their nine-year-old son, who could not cope with the situation.
Ron Malka, Israel's ambassador to India, spoke to the family and expressed grief that Soumya’s young son had lost his mother. Soumya’s family is yet to come to terms with her tragic end. It happened at a time when Soumya was planning to return to Kerala, for a better life back home.
The Indian embassy authorities in Tel Aviv are making efforts to bring Soumya's mortal remains to India.
