Akali Dal leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who resigned from the Narendra Modi Cabinet on Thursday in protest against three farm bills, has said that she failed to convince the Cabinet over the farmers' issues. In an interview to the Hindustan Times, Harsimrat said that she couldn't make her Cabinet colleagues understand that Punjab's apprehensions related to the farm bills were different from those in other parts of the country. She, however, insisted that the Akali-BJP alliance remained intact and that she has quit to support the farmers on the new bills.
