Social Media giant Facebook is actively filtering content on the platform that is promoting the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan.

Speaking to Bloomberg the head of Facebook’s photo-sharing app Instagram stated "We are relying on that policy to proactively take down anything that we can that might be dangerous or that is related to the Taliban in general.”

Many have raised questions on the policies of Twitter in such a time as even though former U.S. President Trump remains barred the Taliban has no hurdle in tweeting and putting out information.

Taliban spokesman has been using the platform to give updates about the group’s advance within the country.
