Italy, which had already qualified for the knockout rounds of the European competition, put a dominating show yet again and beat Wales 1-0 on Sunday. Despite the defeat, Wales still managed to go through to the last 16 from Group A courtesy a better goal difference.
Matteo Pessina put Itay ahead in the 39th minute but but Wales withstood relentless Italian pressure to not let them find the net again.
Whille Robert Page's men will now look forward to a second-round match against next Saturday, Italy's 11th consecutive win will see them play at Wembley on the same day.
