World champions and European heavyweights France will look to extend their dominance in World football as they have their eyes set on Euro 2020. 'Les Bleus' have an opportunity to follow in the footsteps of that 2000-Euro winning side, which claimed the 1998 World Cup on home soil two years before.

Interestingly, the man who captained both those sides, Didier Deschamps, has been France's boss since 2012 and has converted them into a cohesive unit. After World Cup glory in 2018, he can secure the second international double of his career this year.

Moreover, France by far has the best squad in the world in terms of talent. Their core of 2018’s team is intact with the likes of Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. They also boast the attacking talent of Karim Benzema, who is returning to the French squad after nearly 6 years.

2016 runners-up, France, have had a decent run at the tournament having won it twice in 1984 and 2000. They are also part of the group of death which is Group F, along with Germany, Portugal and Hungary.

The team, in particular, will keep an eye on neighbours Portugal, after Deschamps' side lost the Euro 2016 final in Paris to Cristiano Ronaldo's men.
