Euro 2020: Austria beat Ukraine, advance in their first-ever knockout stage

Austria comfortably defeated Ukraine on Monday to secure their first-ever European Championship win in Bucharest.

Christoph Baumgartner achieved the feat for Franco Foda's men after he scored the only goal of the game in the 21st minute. Just 3 minutes before the strike, the 21-year-old suffered an injury due to a head collision and was substituted after scoring the goal. 

The 2nd placed Austria in Group C who have made their place in last 16 now look forward to meeting Italy on Saturday. Whereas, Ukraine will hope to grab a spot in the knockout stage as one of the tournament's best third-placed teams.
