Danish footballer Christian Eriksen will get a miniature defibrillator to fit in his body to detect and correct heart rhythm disorders to prevent the repeat of a near-fatal heart attack. The device detects heart rhythm disorders and corrects them if necessary.
Doctors though fear that Eriksen might have cheated death, as he was revived after his heart stopped during a Euro game, but his football career may be over.
Eriksen suffered a heart attack while playing for Denmark in their opening game of Euro 2020 and collapsed on the field. He was immediately revived on the ground by medics and is currently in a hospital in stable condition.
