Playing pranks is not just limited to you and your friends. April Fool’s Day is a celebration even brands like to step in on. Here’s are some of the best pranks played by brands on consumers: Lego decided to play on parents’ dreams by creating a fake ad about ‘Lego vacuums’ that sorted all the bricks by colour and size and eliminated dust! Netflix announced that comedian Seth Rogen had "transfer[red] full ownership of his personal autonomy to Netflix, Inc. Burger King teased foodies with a brand-new "Chocolate Whopper" that never existed. Airbnb created ‘Lairbnb’ for those who would like to live in houses hosted by supernatural beings. Telsa goes bankrupt In 2018, Elon Musk posted a series of tweets joking about Telsa's terrible month and how the company may go bankrupt. Unfortunately, the prank totally backfired. Tesla’s stock fell 7 percent, the next day! Perhaps being a bit careful with brand announcements around April 1st could save you from being tricked!
