Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has extended the deadline to seed Aadhaar with the universal account number (UAN) for filing electronic challan-cum-returns till September 1, 2021. This comes as a big relief to employers which were facing issues and also needed more time to link their employees' Aadhaar numbers with the UAN.

The earlier deadline of June 1 had to be extended as PF payout for many in the month of May was delayed due to the inability to link the two digital record keepers.
