‘The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth’ release halted
The Bombay High Court has ordered a halt and asked Netflix to screen the docuseries for the Central Bureau of Investigation officials. A special screening will now be held for the CBI officials and lawyers before it gets a go ahead from the court.
What did the court say?
Asking the makers whether they can organise a screening for the CBI, the court asked, “Why should the CBI not be allowed to see the series. What is the difficulty in sharing the docuseries?”
The documentary, which was to be released on February 23, will not be released this month. The court will take the matter next on February 29 to decide on the fate of the crime docuseries.
