The first season of Netflix series ‘Rana Naidu’, starring Venkatesh Daggubati and Rana Daggubati, made a lot of noise and left fans wondering about what lies next for Rana and Naga. Now, the streaming platform has announced the show’s second season. Sharing the news, Netflix India wrote, ‘Don’t worry, the Naidus are coming back to sort all your kiri kiri #RanaNaidu season 2 coming soon!’

‘Rana Naidu’, directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma, is an adaptation of popular American drama ‘Ray Donovan’. The series tells the story of a son’s angst against his estranged father. The show also stars Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Gaurav Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi and Rajesh Jais, among others.

In an earlier interview with indianexpress.com, Rana Daggubati shared that the call for ‘Rana Naidu’ came to him first and Venkatesh himself offered to be a part of the show.

‘I didn’t have to convince him. He was actually curious about what I was up to during Covid. When everyone had no work, I was on zoom calls, connecting with this team about the show. And then as soon as he saw the show (Ray Donovan), he asked me ‘who’s playing your dad’. When I told him that we are still working on it, he said I would like to do it. I was like, here we go,’ he said.
