Actor and former air hostess Noor Malabika Das, known for her appearance in Kajol starrer 'The Trial', has passed away. The actor was found dead at her home in Mumbai, a Mid-day report quoted police sources as saying. Police have initially ruled her death a suicide with investigations still underway.
Noor Malabika Das died on June 6. According to the report, the unfortunate incident came to light after her neighbours suspected a foul smell near her apartment and informed the Oshiwara Police.
Police then broke her flat's door and found her body in a decomposed state. The actor was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her apartment. The police tried to contact her family, but nobody came to the fore to claim her body. Her last rites were conducted on 9th June.
“We spoke to her family. They had returned to their native place two weeks ago. Investigation is underway,” an officer was quoted as saying by Mid-Day. A close friend of Noor, actor Aloknath Pathak, told the publication, “I am saddened by this. I have known Noor for years and worked with her in many films and series. Until last month, her family was living with her in Mumbai. The family returned to the village a week ago. She was living in this flat on rent.”
Noor last featured in 'The Trial' headlined by Kajol. She was more prominently known for her roles in streaming giant ULLU's web shows, including 'Siskiyaan', 'Walkaman', 'Adla Badli', 'Upaya', and 'Charmsukh'.
