Amazon Prime Video has announced the premiere date of Ananya Panday's upcoming web show 'Call Me Bae'. The streamer also shared the first-look poster of Ananya's character from the slice-of-life romantic comedy. The series, created by Ishita Moitra and directed by Collin D’Cunh, is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. Scroll ahead for more details.
Ananya took to her Instagram account to share that her series will begin streaming on September 6, writing, “Hey Bae.” Prime Video wrote on their official Instagram account, “Update your calendars, things are about to glow up! #CallMeBaeOnPrime, Sept 6.” The announcement poster has Ananya dressed in a red and white outfit, sitting on suitcases and staring down at the camera as she oozed major boss vibes.
Ananya will play Belle ‘Bae’ Chowdhary in the series, marking her debut in the format. It will also star Vihaan Samrat, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vir Das, and Mini Mathur, in pivotal roles.
A press note shared by Prime Video states, “Call Me Bae is the story of Bae, who upon being downsized from heiress to hustler, discovers that her most valuable assets aren’t her diamonds, but her street smarts and style. Broke but refusing to be broken, she navigates the newsrooms of Mumbai, finding beaus, behens, and her better self.”
Ananya was last seen in the Netflix film 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan,' which also starred Adarsh Gourav and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She will soon star in 'Control' and 'Shankara'. The actor reportedly has a cameo in 'Bad Newwz'.
