New Delhi, Aug 15 (PTI) "War 2," featuring Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan, has made a stellar entry into the domestic box office by crossing the Rs 50 crore mark on its opening day. The film, which also stars Kiara Advani, hit theaters on Thursday and is directed by Ayan Mukherji. Serving as a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster "War," "War 2" also marks NTR's debut in Bollywood. According to the trade tracking website Sacnilk, the film earned an impressive Rs 51.5 crore nett domestically on its first day. Of the total, Rs 29 crore were attributed to the Hindi version, Rs 0.25 crore to the Tamil version, and Rs 22.25 crore came from the Telugu version. Part of the YRF Spy Universe, "War 2" is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, with Roshan reprising his role as Kabir, a RAW agent. In this sequel, the rogue agent Kabir is set to engage in a global chase against elite operative Vikram, played by NTR. The film also features Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor in key roles.
