New Delhi, Aug 26 (PTI) Actor Tannishtha Chatterjee, who has bravely shared her stage 4 oligometastatic cancer diagnosis, has completed her film "Full Plate" amidst personal challenges. She is thrilled that the film, which she wrote and directed, is set to have its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival.

The 43-year-old expressed her gratitude to fans in an Instagram post on Tuesday. "I've been overwhelmed by all the love and good wishes received over the past two days," she wrote. "In a world that often feels daunting, your support reminds me of the humanity that still exists. This isn't meant to be an award speech, so forgive me if it sounds like one.

Amidst a personal journey filled with challenges, I managed to complete 'Full Plate', a film I penned and directed. The diagnosis came during post-production earlier this year. Despite the odds, I'm thrilled to announce that 'Full Plate' will have its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in 2025," Chatterjee added.

She shared the film's poster and credited the team for their "pure grit and total commitment" during production, despite her health crisis and the difficult conditions under which they worked. Chatterjee praised the cast and crew, including Kirti Kulhari, Ashutosh Goswami, Indraneil Sengupta, and Monica Dogra, for their invaluable support.

Chatterjee is known for her diverse roles in films such as "Parched", "Brick Lane", the Bret Lee starrer "UnIndian", "Angry Indian Goddesses", "Doctor Rakhmabai", and "Anna Karenina". Her most recent appearance was in the Paresh Rawal starrer "The Storyteller".
