Vijay Antony has reacted to his 16-year-old daughter's death on social media. He shared an emotional statement in which he said that he died from inside following his daughter's demise.
Vijay said that Meera will always be with him and that anything auspcious he begins, he'll dedicate it to her.
Vijay tweeted, 'My dear people, my daughter Meera is a loving and brave girl. She is now in a better and silent place where caste, creed, money, jealousy, pain, poverty and animosity are not there. She is still talking to me. I have died with her. I have now started spending time for her. I will now do good things on her behalf and she will kickstart them.'
Vijay's daughter died by suicide in the early hours of September 19 and her funeral took place in Chennai a day later.
Meera was a top performer in school and was the cultural secretary head at Sacred Heart Matriculation School in Chennai. A police case was filed after she was found dead at her residence in Alwarpet, Chennai and a postmortem was conducted as per protocols.
