Allu Arjun won a million hearts and gained nationwide recognition with his stellar performance in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. Do you know he is born into a family associated with South Indian cinema? His uncle is none other than veteran actor Chiranjeevi, one of the most successful actors in Telugu film industry. Actors Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, and Niharika Konidela are his cousins.
The actor’s father Allu Aravind is a film producer and his grandfather, Allu Ramalingaiah, was a farmer-turned-actor, who appeared in over a thousand films and was known for his comic roles.
Allu Arjun made his acting debut at the age of four with the 1985 movie ‘Vijetha’. He was also seen as a child artist in ‘Swathi Muthyam’ (1986). Allu Arjun was later seen as a dancer in Chiranjeevi starrer ‘Daddy’ which was released in 2001.
His debut as a lead actor happened in 2003 with the movie ‘Gangotri’. However, the star rose to prominence with the 2004 movie ‘Arya’, which was directed by Sukumar. He is now a critically acclaimed actor and has many accolades to his name.
Some of his best works, in a career spanning two decades, include the 2009 film ‘Arya 2’, ‘Race Gurram, for which he won SIIMA Awards for Best Actor in Telugu, ‘Rudhramadevi’, which won him three Nandi Awards, and the blockbuster, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.
Allu Arjun has worked with several renowned filmmakers and producers. Besides his impeccable acting skills, the actor has also carved a niche for himself with his urban swag and dancing prowess.
Allu Arjun is now awaiting the release of his film, ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ alongside Rashmika Mandanna.
