Composer-actor Vijay Antony's daughter Meera died by suicide in the early hours of September 19. She was 16 years old.
Meera was reportedly taken to a private hospital after being found hanging at her Chennai residence. The doctors, who examined her, declared her dead.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the girl was battling depression.
The police officials are currently conducting an investigation regarding the same.
Vijay and his family are yet to issue a statement.
