New Delhi, Aug 26 (PTI) Actor Shreyas Talpade recently reminisced about his formative film "Iqbal", sharing nostalgic images as the film marked its 20th anniversary since its initial release. Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, "Iqbal" hit theaters on August 26, 2005, and featured esteemed actors Naseeruddin Shah and Girish Karnad alongside Talpade, who portrayed the lead role of Iqbal Saeed Khan.

The film's storyline centers on a cricket-loving, deaf and mute boy from a rural Indian village, driven by his ambition to conquer challenges and fulfill his aspiration of joining the Indian national cricket team.

The 49-year-old actor took to his Instagram account on Tuesday to post a collection of images. His caption read, "This is where it all began! Thank you for being the biggest support in my career and making an impact in my life."

Looking ahead, Talpade is set to appear in "Welcome to the Jungle". This film, directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Firoz A. Nadiadwala, is the third entry in the celebrated "Welcome" series.

The forthcoming feature boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, and Johny Lever, among others.
