J P Dutta’s ‘Refugee’ marked the Bollywood debut of Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor. The movie was released in cinemas on June 30, 2000. As the romantic drama clocks 23 years, Kareena Kapoor recalls being born in front of the camera on this day.
The actor took to Instagram to share a throwback picture from the sets of ‘Refugee’. Sharing the picture, she wrote, ‘23 years of being born in front of the camera today… And Hell ya another 23 to go…-TBM shoot…’
Several celebrities including Vijay Varma, Zoya Akhtar, and Anil Kapoor have commented on her post.
In an earlier interview with ETimes, Kareena was asked what is her biggest takeaway after 23 years in the industry. The actor replied that ‘nothing lasts forever, whether it is success or failure’. She said what really lasts is your goodwill, dedication to the characters you play on screen and films you have chosen to do.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor was last seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ alongside Aamir Khan. The film faced boycott calls over Aamir’s old statement and the film tanked at the box office.
Kareena has multiple projects lined up for release including Rhea Kapoor’s ‘The Crew’ with Tabu and Kriti Sanon and Hansal Mehta’s next.
