Om Raut's recent release 'Adipurush' is making headlines once again. This time not just for the VFX but also for its cringeworthy dialogues.
Now, Prem Sagar, son of Ramanand Sagar who made the popular TV series Ramayan, has lashed out at the makers.
In an interview with Live Hindustan, Prem said director Om Raut has tried to create Marvel via Adipurush. He alleged that Raut has tampered with the facts and he's hurting religious sentiments.
‘Om Raut has tried to make a Marvel film. Papaji (Ramanand Sagar) did take some creative liberties while making Ramayana but he understood Lord Ram. He read various scriptures and then made a few changes but never messed around with facts,’ he said.
He further said that the mythological drama should be shown in Colaba and Breach Candy not worldwide.
'They should show the film in Breach Candy or Colaba. Don’t show it worldwide. Don’t hurt people’s sentiments. Krittivasi and Eknath also made Ramayana but they never changed the content. They only changed the colour or language but here all the facts seemed to be changed.'
He also said that Raavan was a learned man and not just a villian as shown in the film. He revealed that many scriptures say that Raavan did all the demolition as it was known that he would get salvation only through the hands of Lord Ram.
