New Delhi, Jul 16 (PTI) Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has officially announced the commencement of production for his upcoming Malayalam film, "Khalifa."
Taking to his Instagram, the 42-year-old actor shared a glimpse of the film’s journey with a picture featuring a clapboard bearing the film’s name.
"Aamir Ali will see you soon! #KHALIFA," Sukumaran captioned the post, while tagging pivotal members of the production team: @directorvysakh, @jiinuinnovation, @suraj_k16, @jomontjohn, @jakes_bejoy, @chaman.chakko, @yannickben, @masharhamsa, @shajie__naduvil, and @sonymusic_south.
"Khalifa" is helmed by Vysakh, who has previously directed renowned Malayalam films like "Pokkiri Raja," "Mallu Singh," "Pulimurugan," and "Monster."
Backed by Jiinu Abraham Innovation, the production team has unveiled that the initial shooting schedule is set to begin in London on August 6.
"'Khalifa' Begins Its Journey! #Khalifa has officially kickstarted with an Auspicious Pooja and Switch-On ceremony. With blessings and excitement in the air, the team is all set to begin filming soon," stated the production house on their Instagram handle.
For the film's auditory experience, music will be composed by Jakes Bejoy, and the cinematography will be managed by Jomon T John.
Sukumaran is also gearing up for his role in "Sarzameen," where he stars alongside Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan. The film is slated to premiere on JioHotstar on July 25.
