New Delhi, Aug 15 (PTI) Prime Video announced on Friday that the eagerly anticipated second season of its acclaimed series “Fallout” is set to premiere in December 2025. This season will see the storyline move to the legendary New Vegas setting.
Based on the popular video game, “Fallout” explores a world where haves and have-nots exist in a land where nearly everything is depleted. The official plot reveals a story set two hundred years after an apocalypse, where sheltered inhabitants of luxury fallout shelters are forced back into the irradiated wasteland their ancestors fled. They are astonished to discover a highly complex, bizarre, and violent universe awaiting them.
The series is helmed by showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet. The second season takes place 15 years after the events of the video game “Fallout: New Vegas”. It reintroduces characters like Lucy MacLean, The Ghoul, Maximus, and Dogmeat on the outskirts of the city.
Season one, which premiered in April 2024, concluded with overseer Hank MacLean, played by Kyle MacLachlan, approaching New Vegas. Wagner mentioned that the series will not adhere to any of the game’s multiple canonical endings. He described the evolving world as one marked by constant tragedy, events, and horrors, highlighting a perpetual churn of trauma. Robert House, a pivotal character from the game, will make an appearance in the new season, along with the fearsome Deathclaws.
Actors Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moises Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Walton Goggins return to their roles, with Macaulay Culkin joining the cast as a “crazy genius-type character”.
“Fallout” is produced by Kilter Films in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Amazon MGM Studios. The series will be available in English and also dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
