New Delhi, Sep 1 (PTI) The release of the much-anticipated Punjabi film "Nikka Zaildar 4," starring Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa, has been postponed to October 2. This decision arises from the "unforeseen severe flood situation in Punjab." Floods in Punjab have been intensified by the swollen Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers, along with numerous seasonal rivulets, due to heavy rainfall in their catchment areas in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Numerous locations are grappling with the aftermath of these floods.

Sonam Bajwa made the announcement via her Instagram account on Sunday, revealing the film's new release date. "Nikka Zaildar 4" was initially planned to be released on September 12. The shared note communicated that the film's team intends to visit the affected regions to provide tangible support.

The post further stated, "The entire team of 'Nikka Zaildar 4' has decided to postpone the release date of the film to 2nd October, due to an unforeseen severe flood situation in several areas of Punjab. We feel it's our responsibility to stand with the people of Punjab during these tough times. Hence, the 'Nikka Zaildar' team will personally visit the affected areas soon, offering trucks filled with ration and other necessities for those impacted. We stand with Punjab." Bajwa, aged 36, captioned the announcement with, "The release of 'Nikka Zaildar 4' is now scheduled for 2nd October 2025. In these challenging times, our team stands with Punjab and extends support to the affected families." Directed by Simerjit Singh, the film also features Nirmal Rishi and Parminder Gill in significant roles.

In addition to "Nikka Zaildar 4," Sonam Bajwa will join Tiger Shroff in the upcoming "Baaghi 4" film. The movie is scheduled for release on September 5 and also includes Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu in a key role.
