Mumbai, Dec 5 (PTI) Prime Video has unveiled a new series of posters for the upcoming live-action show “Spider-Noir,” starring Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage and adapted from Marvel’s Spider-Man Noir comics.

The announcement was made during the Comic Con Experience event, where the streamer revealed the posters, which will debut in both black-and-white and color formats, according to a press release.

In this forthcoming series, Cage reprises his role from the animated film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (2018), taking on the mantle of Spider-Man Noir.

“Spider-Noir” is produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video. The narrative follows Ben Reilly, portrayed by Cage, an ageing, beleaguered private investigator in 1930s New York, as he deals with his past as the city’s only masked vigilante.

The series boasts an ensemble cast that includes Emmy winner Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Academy Award-nominated, Emmy-winning actor Brendan Gleeson.

Guest appearances will feature Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.

Emmy-winning filmmaker Harry Bradbeer, known for “Fleabag” and “Killing Eve,” directs and executive produces the first two episodes.

The series is co-showrun by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot. They developed the project in collaboration with the Oscar-winning team behind “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” which includes Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, alongside executive producers Aditya Sood and Dan Shear.

“Spider-Noir” is set for a 2026 release. It will have its initial run on MGM+’s channel in the US before becoming available for global streaming on Prime Video.
