Mumbai, Oct 1 (PTI) Netflix has announced the release of the first season of their new animated series, “Kurukshetra,” scheduled for October 10. The show is a mythological exploration conceptualised and created by Anu Sikka, written and directed by Ujaan Ganguly, and animated by the skilled team at Hitech Animation.

Adding poetic brilliance to the series, the celebrated poet-writer-filmmaker Gulzar has taken on the role of lyricist. "Kurukshetra" delves into the intense personal conflicts and high-stakes rivalries that marked India’s greatest dharmayuddh, a narrative of righteousness turning kin against kin.

The storyline promises to explore key moments like Arjuna’s internal struggle, Draupadi’s unwavering quest for justice, Duryodhan’s relentless pursuit of power, and Bhishma Pitamah’s profound wisdom, as highlighted in the official logline.

Netflix has also released the trailer for the series, which is produced by Tipping Point, under the guidance of producers Alok Jain, Anu Sikka, and Ajit Andhare.
