New Delhi, Aug 27 (PTI) Monalisa Bhosle, the teenage garland seller who captured hearts during the Mahakumbh festival earlier this year, is set to star in the upcoming Malayalam film, "Nagamma".
Photos from the ceremonial pooja inaugurating the film’s production show Bhosle alongside her co-star, "Neelathamara" actor Kailash. The event was graced by the presence of noted filmmaker Sibi Malayil.
"Nagamma", under the direction of P Binu Varghese and produced by Jeeli George, promises to feature Monalisa in a pivotal role, as reported by OnManorama.
Hailing from Maheshwar, located roughly 100 km away from Indore, Bhosle became an online sensation during the Maha Kumbh festival in Prayagraj when she was selling Rudraksha garlands.
Her strikingly amber eyes and captivating smile earned her the nickname “Mona Lisa,” catching the attention of scores of online admirers. Although her actual name is Moni Bhosle, she is fondly known by her nickname.
Today, she boasts over seven lakh followers on Instagram, where she shares updates about her life, which has significantly transformed since the Mahakumbh.
The production of "Nagamma" is expected to commence by the end of September.
