New Delhi, Aug 26 (PTI) – Mayoori Kango, best known for her role in the Bollywood film "Papa Kehte Hai", has returned to Publicis Groupe as the CEO for its India Delivery Centre.

Kango announced her career move on LinkedIn, sharing her excitement about rejoining the firm as part of the global executive leadership team for global delivery.

The former actress, who appeared in numerous films and TV shows from 1995 to 2008, gained recognition for her role alongside Jugal Hansraj in "Papa Kehte Hai", a hit romantic drama directed by Mahesh Bhatt.

The movie featured popular songs including "Ghar Se Nikalte Hee" and "Ye Jo Thode Se Hain Paise".

Her last screen appearance was in the 2008 film "Kashmir Hamara Hai".

On LinkedIn, the 43-year-old former actress wrote about her new role where she will collaborate with the PGD Global team to enhance solutions and services across media, tech, and digital fields, with a focus on the AI practice.

She mentioned that AI is significantly changing how individuals work, create, and interact, and expressed her enthusiasm for using AI to revolutionize marketing and media's future.

Kango will serve as the CEO, eager to work with talented teams within the organization.

Before her stint in the corporate sector, Kango was selected for IIT Kanpur but chose acting, debuting in the 1995 film "Naseem", which revolved around the Babri Masjid demolition.

Her performance in Mahesh Bhatt's "Papa Kehte Hai" garnered critical acclaim.

She later transitioned to television, starring in shows such as "Dollar Bahu" and "Karishma - The Miracles of Destiny", where she portrayed Karishma Kapoor's daughter.

Kango's move to the corporate realm began in 2007 after she completed her MBA.
