New Delhi, Aug 19 (PTI) – After celebrating its 25th anniversary in Mumbai earlier this year, Lakme Fashion Week is gearing up for its Delhi chapter in October. The highly anticipated fashion event will run from October 8 to 12, as announced through a press release.

In partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and Reliance Brands Ltd, the fashion gala will showcase the pinnacle of Indian fashion and beauty. Sunanda Khaitan, Vice President of Lakme India, emphasized that LFW has been instrumental in shaping the narrative of Indian fashion for over 25 years. As they look forward to a new season, the event is set to honor its legacy while evolving with fresh ideas, deeper purpose, and unwavering commitment to innovation.

"Each edition acts as a catalyst for the industry by establishing benchmarks, launching talent, and reimagining the possibilities of fashion on a global scale," she added.

FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi expressed their excitement about bringing this landmark fashion event back to the capital. According to Sethi, New Delhi has long been a crucial fashion hub, making this edition a powerful continuation of their 25th anniversary celebrations. At FDCI, promoting the business of fashion remains a key agenda. They aim to create platforms that empower designers, open new markets, and foster meaningful engagement between creativity and commerce.

Jaspreet Chandok, Group Vice President of Reliance Brands, stated, “With every edition, we aim to elevate the experience of Lakme Fashion Week—not just as a runway event but as a cultural moment.” He believes New Delhi sets the perfect stage for this season’s creative expression and innovation.
