'When Life Gives You Tangerines' narrates the life journeys of two people, both born on Jeju Island in the 1950s. IU plays Ae Soon, a spirited young woman with a heart of gold. Despite going through many ordeals, she tries to stay cheeful. Park Bo Gum, meanwhile, stars as Gwan Shik, a devoted and hardworking person who struggles with expressing his feelings. Touted as a slice-of-life romance, the K-drama is confirmed to be streaming on Netflix in 2024.
