South Korean actor Im Siwan, known for his performance in 'Run On' and 'Summer Strike', now has his own wax figure at Madame Tussauds. His statue was unveiled at Korea’s ENA Suite Hotel on June 5, with the actor in attendance. Im confirmed his collaboration with Madame Tussauds in March and shared pictures from the sitting session where he provided measurements with fans on Instagram.
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has shared the first glimpse of Korean actor Yim Siwan's wax statue. The glimpse was revealed at Korea’s ENA Suite Hotel on June 5. In pictures going viral on social media, Im Siwan was seen striking a happy pose with his wax statue, which bore a striking resemblance to him. The actor donned similar clothes to his statue, a white and black ensemble. Siwan also took to his Instagram account to share a video from the event where he could be seen posing with the statue. He wrote, "#madametussaudshongkong (sic)."
Im Siwan, also known as Yim Siwan, started his career as a member of the boy band ZE:A before foraying into acting. He began his journey as an actor with the 2012 drama, 'The Moon Embracing the Sun' and has since been a part of critically acclaimed K-dramas like 'Misaeng: Incomplete Life', 'The King In Love', 'Strangers From Hell', 'Run On', 'Summer Strike', 'Boyhood', and others. Up next, he will be seen in the eagerly-anticipated second instalment of 'Squid Game' 2.
