It was a chaotic March for the K-drama stars Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee. The couple was involved in a messy dating scandal and ended up parting ways within two weeks of confirming their relationship. Now for the first time Ryu Jun Yeol has broken his silence and has spoken up on the entire controversy.
Two months after his dating scandal broke out with actor Han So Hee, Ryu Jun Yeol has finally broken his silence. During a press conference for Netflix’s new series ‘The 8 Show’, Ryu Jun Yeol said, “I felt it was best to remain silent and endure the criticism rather than attempting to correct the misinformation about my personal life spread on social media.” He further said that it was an opportunity for him to self-reflect and the most difficult time since his debut. “As it’s a personal issue, I think there will be a time I can given an interview in a personal setting,” he added.
Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol first made headlines after the duo was spotted vacationing in Hawaii. After pictures from their intimate get-away broke the internet, their agencies confirmed their relationship. Following this, Ryu Jun Yeol's 'Reply 1998' co-star and girlfriend of six years, Hyeri, shared a cryptic Instagram story, which many believed was a dig at her former boyfriend's new romance. Soon after, Han So Hee took to her social media to drop a mysterious note, allegedly launching an attack on Hyeri. The entire episode led to brutal criticism against Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol. While Han So Hee made multiple posts and deleted them, Ryu Jun Yeol remained silent. Facing massive backlash and criticism, the couple broke up within two weeks of announcing their relationship.
