Jessi breaks silence: K-pop star speaks out against death threats

K-pop soloist Jessi has been in the middle of a massive controversy. The singer has been receiving a lot of criticism and hate on social media after an alleged acquaintance of hers assaulted a young fan.  

The K-pop star is also receiving death threats since the controversy broke out. Jessi has broken her silence and has responded to her haters on social media.Taking to Instagram, Jessi shared a screenshot of a hateful comment and wrote ‘Please stop’.  

The controversy blew out of proportion as the fan who approached her for a selfie was attacked by a person and made a police complaint. Jessi claimed that she doesn’t know the assaulter personally and met him that day for the first time, her haters are slamming her for being a bystander to the assault.  

Jessi’s fans and other K-pop fandoms have come out in support of the singer against online harassment and hate messages. They are calling out the toxic anti-fans for their shocking treatment of K-pop idols. Apart from Jessi, BTS rapper Suga, former RIIZE member Seunghan and actor Byeon Woo Seok have recently faced severe online harassment over controversies.
