South Korean singer IU is getting global acclaim for her latest pre-release single ‘Love Wins All’. The song featuring the singer herself and BTS’ V is dominating the global Charts and has already surpassed 1 million Spotify streams on its debut. The music video of ‘Love Wins All’, which was released on January 24, has become the biggest talking point among the fans on social media.
Soon after its release, ‘Love Wins All’ climbed to the top position on almost all the domestic music charts. Infact, IU made history by becoming the first female artist whose song debuted at the top of Melon’s Top 100. Beyond the domestic market, IU’s latest single has claimed the top position in iTunes Top Songs charts in over 23 regions worldwide.
IU and V’s acting endeavours
Even though it is not a first for either IU or V, their acting skills in the music video have earned them praises from their fans. Some overwhelmed fans went on to call their performance worthy of Oscars. For the unversed, IU has acted in many Korean shows including ‘Hotel del Luna’, ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ and ‘My Mister’. On the other hand, BTS star Kim Tae Hyung aka V was seen in period drama ‘Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth’. While fans are impressed with IU and V’s chemisty in ‘Love Wins All’, BTS ARMY is wishing to see V in a full-fledged acting role.

‘Love Wins All’ is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where IU and V are fighting to survive together as lovers. The heart-wrenching video shows the two being followed by a mysterious cube.
