From stanning Stray Kids to actually featuring in their music video, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have come a long way. Stays are in disbelief since their idols dropped the music video of their new song ‘Chk Chk Boom’.
K-pop group Stray Kids have made their comeback after 8 months with the album ‘ATE’ and they literally ‘ATE’ it. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman made a surprise cameo in their Deadpool and Wolverine costumes in the music video of their title track ‘Chk Chk Boom’.
The music video starts with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine trying to tell the weather forecast before giving up. Next, we see Ryan as a news anchor complaining about toilet paper and right there when jaws drop, Stray Kids’ banger track begins with the most energetic beats. The music video ends with Ryan asking them if they are looking for an older, less agile number. With its Latin beats, hip-hop style and spanish words in the lyrics, the song is winning numbers quickly on streaming platforms.
This isn’t the only crossover. Stray Kids is all set to make their Marvel debut. The K-pop group is collaborating with Marvel Studios for ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ soundtrack ‘Slash’.
The boy group, managed by JYP Entertainment, shares a close-knit bond with Reynolds and recently reunited during Deadpool & Wolverine's Seoul press tour. Ryan Reynolds and Stray Kids first became acquainted following the group's Deadpool-inspired performance on 'Kingdom: Legendary War' in 2021.
‘ATE’ consists of eight tracks, which includes Mountains, Chk Chk Boom, JJAM, I Like It, Runners, Twilight, Stray Kids, and Chk Chk Boom (Festival version).
Stray Kids will be embarking on their World Tour 2024 ‘DominATE’ in August. They will be performing in South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines, China, Thailand, and Indonesia. The group was in headlines for their MET Gala appearance in May this year.
