The release date of Shah Rukh Khan's next 'Jawan' has finally been announced. The film, which was earlier scheduled to release in June this year, will now hit the theatres worldwide on September 7.

Shah Rukh Khan shared a video announcing the release date of the film on his social media handle. The motion poster shows Shah Rukh in a new avatar, taking a leap with a spear in his hand. He throws it forward and lands down.

The film is supposed to be released in three languages, Hindi, Tamil and Telegu. Directed by Atlee and produced by Gauri Khan, it also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi.

'Jawan' has reportedly been postponed as the team needs more time to work on the VFX.
